China: Domestic and export urea prices slip

Restrictions imposed by central and regional governments on the back of the novel corona virus outbreak continue to impact urea production, domestic market activity, and exports. Prices are also slipping. More than 20 provincial governments have instructed industrial enterprises not to resume output until February 10, and urea units operating are suffering from increasing inventories via constraints on available transportation as well as supply of critical materials such as bags required for the urea. Trucks are in short supply and rail deliveries are currently concentrated on movements to ports.
