SE Asia: Slow spot demand limits price upside

Buyers in Southeast Asia had limited appetite for spot sulphuric acid cargoes, though some enquiries were evident in the market, sources said. Tighter spot availability and higher offers from sellers have pushed up delivered prices for acid in the region. As reported two weeks ago, a sale was heard concluded to Vietnam for around 5,000 t in the high $10s/t CFR, with the tonnes understood to be from South Korea.
