After a couple of months of attempts to begin turnaround work on Yara’s 500,000 t/y Tringen 1 ammonia unit in Trinidad and Tobago, the company has now completed a three-week maintenance period and the unit is operational. On October 21, Yara’s 495,000 t/y Tringen 2 ammonia unit in Trinidad began maintenance work for seven days. The plant is expected to restart production after the turnaround work supported by the higher Tampa November ammonia contract price agreed today at $235/t CFR.
