US: Solid sulphur imports decline in 2019

US imports of solid sulphur from January through December 2019 declined year on year, with the volume from Russia down 57% to 205,151 t and the volume from Kazakhstan down 22% at 129,620 t, according to IHS Markit data. Imports from Saudi Arabia were up 45% at 47,714 t. This marks a reversal in the trend for increased solid sulphur imports into the US in recent years.
