US Northern Plains: Urea pulled up with other markets

Granular urea prices in the Northern Plains states are being pulled higher by $10-30/st due to gains in other US markets. Indications for new business are $355-375/st DEL in North and South Dakota. The large indicated jump in these states reflects similar price gains in the Midwest and Southern Plains. All of these markets are moving from pre-plant activity to planting crops, leaving retailers to focus increasingly on their needs for post emergence nitrogen applications to corn, spring wheat and other crops.
