Baltic Sea: Suppliers pushing for better returns

Russian producers loading prilled urea from the Baltic are targeting returns at and above $230/t FOB, and one producer indicated that a bid at $225/t FOB for a prompt lot had been rejected this week. Mainstream indications of buying interest in prilled tonnage were initially significantly lower, into the upper $210s/t FOB, but these were not generating selling interest. Sales concluded to Incofe of prills for Honduras in combination with AN and MOP in the high $250s/t CFR suggested returns around $225/t FOB with no provisions for margins.
