Farmers have slammed a trade deal with South American countries that opens the EU market to higher imports of cheap beef produced to lower standards than home-produced meat.The agreement has taken 20 year to conclude and covers four countries - Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay - known as the Mercosur bloc.
