Skangas taps Grain LNG for fresh supplies to meet booming bunkering demand

Skangas has signed a letter of intent with Grain LNG to source gas at the Isle of Grain import terminal for small-scale reloading of LNG carriers and for refuelling LNG-powered vessels. The Norwegian LNG producer said additional supply is needed to meet rapidly rising demand in the bunkering market, as its small-scale LNG plant in Risavika, south-west Norway, is already exceeding its annual nameplate production capacity of 300,000 tonnes.
