Lebanon has taken the next step towards installing floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) at several locations along its coast line with the opening of bids to provide the vessels, infrastructure and LNG that would establish Lebanon as a new LNG market. Lebanese energy minister Nada Boustani opened the tenders but has yet to disclose preferred bidders for a project that could see three FSRUs installed to feed new and existing power stations.
