UK strike action

The Unite union confirmed that a strike on the UK North Sea oil and gas platforms operated by Total E&P went ahead as planned at 0600 on 23 July and finished 24 hours later. The strike followed an overwhelming mandate for industrial action by Unite members. There will be further action on the three platforms affected (Alwyn, Dunbar and Elgin).
