Xergy makes Aberdeen investment

Start-up company Xergy has invested US $155,279 (￡120,000) to open an office in Aberdeen – with plans to recruit an extra 15 employees. Xergy is “set to revolutionise resourcing in the energy indus-try,” according to founders James McCallum and Colin Manson. The new office will accommodate Xergy's “growing work-force as well as providing a hub for freelancers and contractors to work remotely and flexibly.” Proteus, a digital platform that aims to solve one of the most pressing problems facing the upstream oil and gas sector, is already recruiting for an office and operations manager, a prod-uct manager a technology director and four people for its tech-nical support team.
