Irish to phase out oil exploration

Operators are looking for clarification after the Irish government revealed it is planning to stop oil exploration activity in the country because it is not compatible with a low-carbon future. During the UN Climate Action Summit Taoiseach Leo Varadkar?said the Irish govern- ment’s intends to phase out oil exploration licences in the future, although gas will licences will not be banned.
