Kvaerner bags Hod contract

Aker BP has awarded Kvaerner a US $106.8m (NOK 1 Bn) contract to deliver the topside and steel substructure for the normally unmanned wellhead platform at the Hod field offshore Norway. “The contract is an important part of Kvaerner’s strategy to be the leading supplier of cost effi- cient, unmanned platforms,” said Kvaerner, adding that this is the second project in the well- head platform alliance, which was established between Aker BP, Kvaerner, ABB and Aker Solutions.
