Gazprom Approves Record Spending Plan

Russian gas giant Gazprom's board has given a final nod to a record spending plan for 2018 of 1.279 trillion rubles ($21.8 billion), the state-run company said Wednesday. The 2018 budget will exceed this year's spending by 13%. Increased spending is required for Gazprom's key export pipeline projects - the Power of Siberia to China and the westbound Nord Stream 2 and Turk Stream lines to Europe - which the company wants to complete in late 2019 (IOD Nov.29'17).
