Qatargas Inks LNG Supply Deal With OMV

A subsidiary of Qatargas has signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with OMV Gas Marketing & Trading, to which it will deliver up to 1.1 million tons of LNG per annum for five years. The deal is the first between the Qatari gas giant and the Austrian company. The SPA becomes operational in January 2019 and calls for the supply of LNG from Qatargas 4, one of the company's four fully integrated LNG projects. The LNG will be delivered to the Gate LNG Terminal in the Netherlands on board Qatargas' chartered LNG vessels.
