EU-US LNG Talks to Continue on Aug. 20

A trade entourage of the European Commission will travel to Washington on Aug. 20 to continue talks on how to implement EU commitments to import more LNG from the US, a commission statement said. A trade adviser to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and a senior EU trade official will meet with their US trade counterparts to work on the agreements clinched on Jul. 25 between Juncker and US President Donald Trump, with the EU committing to buy more US LNG if the price was competitive (IOD Jul.27’18).
