Russian Oil Exports via Pipeline to Dip in 2018

Crude oil exports from Russia via the system of national oil pipeline monopoly Transneft are set to drop this year by almost 3%, mainly as a result of higher domestic demand and Russia’s commitment to the Opec-led production cut agreement. Exports via the Transneft system, including shipments to neighboring Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, should total 226.8 million tons (4.55 million barrels per day) in 2018, down from 4.695 million b/d in 2017, the company said at a media briefing Friday.
