European jet fuel discounts are narrowing as the region’s airlines get ready to put more planes in the sky. The region’s air traffic control agency Eurocontrol says it expects 12,400 daily flights by mid-July, mainly on intra-European routes, compared with just under 7,000 on Jun. 11. That is still way below the numbers of up to 35,000 daily flights seen before the Covid-19 pandemic.
