India Refinery Runs Shrink

India’s refinery runs contracted 5.7% on the year in March, the steepest pace of decline since September, after demand for products collapsed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi gradually imposed restrictions on travel during the month to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. That was followed by a complete nationwide lockdown from Mar. 25, which will remain effective through May 3 (IOD Mar.25’20).
