ONGC Seeks Marginal Field Partners

India’s largest producer, Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), has invited bids from potential partners to try to arrest the production decline at its 64 marginal oil and gas fields (IOD Apr.26’19). The fields were awarded to the state-run firm by the government on a nomination basis before India switched to the current licensing system in the late 1990s.
