Norwegian Industry Group Raises Spending Forecast

The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association (Norog) has raised its forecast for offshore investment over the next few years, citing rising costs on some projects. However, spending is still projected to peak in 2020 and then drop off sharply because of a lack of major new projects in the pipeline. In its latest spending forecast for 2020-24, the industry group said it sees investment climbing by 4% in 2020 to 194.6 billion kroner ($21 billion) from 187.5 billion kroner this year.
