Slightly pricier but no perkier. That's the short version of what has been done to Volkswagen's smallest hot hatchback, the Up GTI, for 2020. The overall appeal of the car hasn't been altered, though; it's mostly just been preserved. After its launch in 2018, the hot Up attracted a long waiting list, which VW struggled to satisfy with a limited right-hand-drive allocation. That, combined with the WLTP emissions deadline, meant the old car was taken off sale in April last year.
