SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Spot offers of butadiene (BD) have spiked following a fire at LG Chem's cracker at Yeosu early Thursday morning, Spot offers have surged to $1,300-1,350/tonne CFR (cost and freight) northeast (NE) Asia, following the sudden shortage of BD following the fire at LG's Yeosu cracker, market sources said. LG Chem's 160,000 tonne/year BD plant at Yeosu is expected to shut for 15-20 days, market sources said.
