Global urea demand limited, market holding out for India’s return

LONDON (ICIS)--There is limited activity in the urea market, with demand restricted to smaller cargoes. The next import tender from India is likely soon, for mid/late July shipment, and if Rashtriya Chemicals Fertilizers (RCF) is able to buy over a million tonnes, it would dictate the trend going forward. Ukraine is likely to be a key supplier to India, with around 200,000 tonnes available for export in July, in line with the previous tender. Urea production in Ukraine has increased because of lower gas prices.
