SE Asia PP offers limited,demand weaker on reimposed lockdowns

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--Spot offers in southeast Asia's polypropylene(PP)market is expected to remain limited in the near term,although this could be balanced out by weaker demand as several countries in the region saw re-imposed lockdowns in a bid to curb the spread of the pandemic.Spot offers to southeast Asia dried up,given that regional producers have exported significant volumes to China in the previous weeks.The bulk of producers have cleared off allocations for September and retreated to the sidelines.Some have even sold off cargoes for the first-half October shipment in response to strong buying appetite from China in early September.
