Putin says cuts could run to end of 2018

Crude output cuts by Opec and a Russia-led group of non-Opec producers could run until the end of next year, President Vladimir Putin said this week. “We will make our decision based on the realities in March [when the agree- ment expires], but I do not rule out that we may extend,” Putin told the Russian Energy Week conference in Moscow on 4 October. “If we speak about a possible extension, then it should be at least until the end of 2018.”
