Transneft exports hit fve-year high

Crude exports through Russia’s Transneft pipeline system to non-CIS destina- tions increased by 5.7pc on the month to a fve-year high of about 4.85mn b/d (20.64mn t) in October. Much of the growth was driven by Rosneft, which raised crude exports partly because of unplanned refnery maintenance. And shipments of transit crude through the Transneft system, mainly from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, were 10pc higher than in September at 454,000 b/d (1.94mn t). But pipeline exports by other large Russian producers fell in October.
