Ukraine’s state-owned Naftogaz is making plans based on the assumption that there will be no Russian gas transit through Ukraine to Europe from 2020. Gazprom’s 10-year transit contract with Naftogaz expires on 31 December, by which time the Russian frm aims to have its 55bn m~3/yr Nord Stream 2 to Ger- many and 31.5bn m~3/yr Turkish Stream pipelines on stream - bypassing Ukraine.
