Fertilizer freight rates pushed higher this week for East Atlantic voyages but fi xed volumes were low, with few cargoes available, and participants suggested that the market was poised for a downturn. Rapid rises in the price of bunker fuel, caused by crude oil price movements, meant that most voyage rates moved slightly higher.
