DAP prices continue to head north. A 40,000t cargo of Kailin DAP has been sold into Pakistan at prices refl ecting the low/ mid-$380s/t fob for early December shipment. Asking prices are as high as $400/t fob with expectations they will move higher after the China phosphate conference later this week. But a lack of export supply alongside high fob price demands are hampering traders’ attempts to fi x DAP cargoes into southeast Asian markets. With Vietnam effectively blocked to China, traders are looking at Thailand and Philippines, which are coming into season.
