Muted Iran effect underpins lower forecasts

An average of analyst oil price forecasts has been revised lower next year, reflecting easing supply concerns despite the reimposition of US sanctions on Iran. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated or Ice Brent will be priced at less than $77/bl next year, with US marker WTI at around $69.30/bl, an average of forecasts in an Argus poll of analysts shows. These are down by around $1.10/bl and $2.30/bl, respectively, from an October survey (see table).
