Libya's NOC has lifted force majeure measures at one oil field and four ports in the troubled east of the country, paving the way for production to rebound. The terminals - Zueitina, Marsa el-Hariga, Es Sider and Ras Lanuf - are returning to normal operations and production at the 130,000 b/d Elephant field should recover to over 70,000 b/d by mid-July, NOC says. The field produced 80,000-90,000 b/d prior to its closure, well below its nameplate capacity. The field had been shut in since late February because of a wage dispute with the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG), which ensures its protection. Crude from the field is blended with Wafa condensate to produce the Mellitah grade, which is exported from its namesake terminal (see table).
