1.Gasoline and diesel values are facing persistent pressure from falling domestic demand, although the west coast gasoline market gained on refnery issues. 2.Rising gasoline exports were not enough to remove a surplus, while diesel exports were fat. The arbitrage to ship diesel to New York Harbor from the Gulf coast has narrowed to 7.73￠/USG but remains open (see graph). The gasoline arbitrage is comparatively robust at 6.47￠/USG.
