Mexico boosts Isthmus exports

Mexico is exporting more of its medium sour Isthmus crude after shifting its refn- eries to running a heavier slate of feedstocks. State-owned Pemex exported nearly 135,000 b/d of Isthmus in April, the highest in two years (see graph). And exports rose to nearly 170,000 b/d last month, tanker tracking data from oil analytics frm Vortexa show. More than half the Isthmus shipments have gone to the US, principally the Gulf coast and mostly Texas. Some cargoes are going to refneries on the Atlantic coast and the rest to the Asia-Pacifc market, including South Korea.
