Renewed pledges to comply with quotas and compensate for overproducing in May have left some in Opec+ facing steep cuts that they may struggle to maintain. Low compliance with their May quotas by countries such as Iraq, Nigeria and Kazakhstan came under scrutiny at the Opec+ meeting on 6 June (see tables). Member countries that overshoot their targets in May-June must now compensate by making deeper output cuts in July-September.
