摘要

Vanadium is regarded as very interesting alloying elements for steel which is necessary to produce high grade steel. Although vanadium is designated as one of national stockpile elements, more than 70% of that is used as alloying material of steelmaking process. On the other hand, vanadium has not been recycled and there are no strategies to obtain the stable resource. It is well known that some kind of Iron ore contain vanadium in the range of 0.1 to 0.5% (i.e. Savage River mine, Australia 0.46% and Taharoa mine, New Zealand 0.3%). In order to extracting vanadium during the conventional steelmaking process, the behavior of vanadium in hot metal dephosphorization process was investigated.
