Strong converse result for uniform approximation by Meyer-Konig and Zeller operator

We characterize the approximation of functions in uniform norm by classical Meyer-Konig and Zeller operator. Using the closed connection between the approximation by Meyer-Konig and Zeller operator and the weighted approximation by Baskakov operator, we prove a strong converse inequality of type A in terms of the K-functional.
