The Volkswagen (VW) emissions scandal has raised fears of significant negative effect on automotive market in theEU. This situation may even offset gradual economic recovery in Europe given the possible slowdown of the maindriver – Germany. While it is too early to predict all possible consequences, it is obvious that since more majorcarmakers are getting involved in emissions investigations, flat steel market cannot remain untouched.
