Turkish mills accept higher scrap prices from USA, Europe and Baltic region

Import steel scrap prices have risen again in the Turkish market. Local mills have accepted higher levels from mostoverseas destinations. After quite a long break in deals with US scrap suppliers, a mixed batch of the material has reportedly been booked.Scrap of HMS 1&2 (80:20) grade has been marketed at $190/t CFR, $5/t above the mid-week indicative level. Marketinsiders tend to believe that next contracts will be signed closer to $195/t CFR.
