China cancels VAT rebate, suppliers try to avoid losses

Beijing has removed partial VAT rebate for exports of boron-added finished steel starting January 1. Chinese exporters are now stuck with warehouses overflowing with unshipped material, as the move left them no time to dispatch the goods. Going forward, mills are planning to cease exporting boron-added material, substituting it with the chrome-added one.
