Consumers of US coking coal slow to conclude contracts

Contrary to expectations, US coking coal consumers continue to shelve purchases in the second week of July. Mills are preparing for negotiations over next year shipments. In the spot market, low-volatile coal is available to local buyers at an average of $90/st EXW. Supply of high-volatile A coal is still short, so it is assessed at $76-90/st EXW depending on batch size.
