Lebanon traders face long product sales troubles despite stronger construction

Despite construction activity improvement in Lebanon after winter, the traders have difficulties with longs sales due to high competition in the traders’ market. As a result, their stocks are still high. “The problem is not in demand or a price but in excess supply from China,” a market insider comments. Nevertheless some market players have continued to book Chinese longs with May shipment, expecting to sell out their stocks before the material arrives in late June or July.
