Chinese plate exporters ready to cut prices on soft domestic demand

Export prices for plate have stayed almost unchanged in China after the national holidays but are already showing first signs of a further decrease. Domestic price forecasts are also negative as consumption does not increase. Most mills in North China offer SS400b plate abroad at $475-480/t FOB (down $5/t from the lower end).
