摘要

Ferrospinels of copper, cobalt and iron were prepared by the room temperature co-precipitation route to yield high surface area. The formation of single phase was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The (311) peak is found to be most intense. Scanning electron micrographs exhibit increase in grain size with increase in cobalt content, similarly the resistivity is also found to increase with increase in cobalt content and these materials have been effectively utilized as novel heterogeneous catalysts for the oxidation of a variety of activated and non-activated alcohols corresponding carbonyl products.
