Japan's Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) said that it is settling a classaction lawsuit for fixing the price of wiring harnesses and heater controlpanels in the US for a total of $50 million. The settlement is conditional uponthe final approval of the US District Court for the Eastern District ofMichigan, Southern Division, and will enable SEI to exit multidistrict litigation(MDL) brought by US car dealerships and their customers.
