Over the past decade, Indian electricity infrastructure has seen an impressive expansion. The countryadded 54 GW to its power generation capacity during the 11th Five Year Plan (2007-2012) and is wellon its way to add another 88 GW in the 12th Five Year Plan period (2012-2017).
