Tata stays profitable, despite restructuring in UK

Mumbai-headquartered Tata Steel posted a fiscal Q2 net profit of INR15.3 bn ($23.3 M, ?21.4 M),though restructuring in the UK and other provisions cost INR86.7 bn.Slimming down the plate, strip and special steel operations is also costing thousands of jobs (CRUViews - Steel, 21 October, 27 August & 17 July 2015).
