Toray Pondering China FPD-film Line to Streamline Production

Toray Industries intends to make a decision in the first half of fiscal 2009, which starts this April 1, on a project to install a line, at its Chinese joint venture Yihua Toray Polyester Film to make thick polyethylene terephthal-ate optical films for use in flat-panel displays. The joint venture in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province, currently manufactures film for electrical insulation.
