Furuya Extending Markets for OELD-use Metal Compounds

Furuya Metal is accelerating efforts to expand sales of its precious-metal compounds for use in or-ganic electroluminescent displays. One of these compounds is the company's proprietary iridium trichloride, a raw material for a metal complex used as a.'phos-phorescent material. It says that even the standard grade of its iridium trichloride contains 150 ppm or less of sodium, potassium and magnesium combined, low enough to obviate the conventional need to re-fine a metal complex after synthesis.
