According to Ali-Reza Sadegh-Abadi, managing director of Siraf Refineries Infrastructure Co., a number of private Iranian companies are planning to build eight new condensate processing facilities at the Siraf refinery in Assaluyeh, near the South Pars offshore gas field. Each of the plants will have a capacity of 60K-b/d, adding a total of 480K b/d of capacity to the complex's total capacity, said Mr. Sadegh-Abadi, who is coordinating the project. The total project cost is estimated at about $2.8B, and will give the Siraf refinery the capacity to make about 270K b/d of naphtha, 140K b/d of gasoil, 30K b/d of LPG, and 30K b/d of kerosene.
